Most vehicle databases begin with a registration number. Road Rarity begins with a question: how many of this model, engine or fuel type are actually left? You can start with every vehicle in Great Britain, narrow the figures to a manufacturer, or examine an individual model and its official descriptions.
Official source, clearer presentation
The underlying figures come from the Department for Transport’s annual vehicle licensing data. Road Rarity reorganises those public tables into searchable model families, fuel groups, engine-size bands, age profiles and comparisons.
Road Rarity is an independent project. It is not affiliated with the Department for Transport, DVLA or any vehicle manufacturer.
No invented precision
Some official counts are suppressed when very few vehicles are recorded. Those hidden values are never guessed. Where the source does not include a field—such as gearbox type—Road Rarity says so instead of filling the gap with assumptions.
